I was excited for my first Stitch Fix to arrive! My Stitch Fix was scheduled to arrive on May 5th and that is when I received it. I must say I am quite impressed with how efficient and fast the shipping is. I have only heard and read good things about this subscription box so I could not resist trying it out!
Price: $20 styling fee.
This charge is applied as a credit toward the items you choose to keep from your Fix and if you don't keep anything then unfortunately that $20 is lost.
What is Stitch Fix?:
Stitch Fix is a subscription box that sends you 5 clothing items & accessories that are tailored to your style, size and budget!
When you sign up you fill out a style profile, your profile is assigned to a stylist who then goes through and personally picks out items they think you will love. You can request for the items to be adventurous or you can stick to the styles you know you will love. It's always good to try new things so I requested for my stylist to be adventurous with my selections!
After you fill out your style profile, you personally choose the date you want to receive your Fix. Once you receive your Fix in the mail, you try it all on in the comfort of your own home and then you make your decision within 3 days if you want to keep any or all of it. Stitch Fix pays for the shipping to and from you. They do send you a postage paid envelope to return everything you do not want. You just put it all in the envelope, take it to a mailbox and send it off. It's super easy and I am sure you will love it! You do not even have to leave your house to go shopping because someone else will do it for you!
Don't wait! Go sign up now and try out Stitch Fix for yourself!

I did not like this top because it was too big and not my style at all.

Fox Colorblock Sleeve Top by Fate
Size: M
Price: $48.00
This was ok. The top fit me well, the fabric was really soft, and it would look nice for work but for the price I did not think it was worth it.

The pattern is kinda cute but I was rather turned off by the ruffled layers on the top portion of the skirt. Sadly, as much as I wanted to keep it, I decided against the skirt.

Size: M
Price: $44.00
This was by far the cutest item I received in my box but the only downfall was that it is a maxi dress so it clings to all those undesirable areas, unless you are super fit and without an ounce of fat on your body. I am small and rather skinny but I really felt for this to look great on me I would need to wear spanx or a girdle. Hahaha! I don't have that perfect body for this style so I had to return it.

Price: $38.00
I disliked this piece a lot because the material this necklace is made out of is rather cheap in appearance and in how it felt especially for how pricey this item is.
NOT KEEPING!
The total cost for all 5 items I received in my Fix was $166.50
It is not a bad price for all of it considering a personal stylist is shopping FOR YOU and you are not having to do anything but try it on and decide if you like it or not.
Unfortunately I was disappointed with my very first Fix I received because I felt that the Stylist did not really put much thought or effort into my box since everything was pretty much in the same pattern and color palette. I ended up sending everything back and losing the $20 styling fee.
However, I am not going to give up on Stitch Fix so easily, I have seen others receive super cute items and I am hoping that my next Fix coming in July 2014 will be way better than this one and I will want to keep all of it! I LOVE the idea of this subscription and I will give it more time before I come to a complete conclusion about all of it.
I hope you enjoyed reading about Stitch Fix and will go sign up and check it out for yourself!!!
